Ventrilo Admin Guide

Adding a user British Captain's will contact you via the Vent access thread on the forums on in game. First you'll need to verify they are an active British Captain. If they have requested access on the forums they have already been authenticated as a British Captains (their name appears blue). If they contact you in game you'll need to verify they are a real British payer. You can used Nation chat to verify their status or ask them to email you a screen shot of their character selection screen which shows their server, level and nation.

Once verified ask them for their desired Username, Password and Society. Once you have this information you have everything you need to create their account.

1. Load Ventrilo
2. Right click, select Server Admin, User Editor
3. Enter the Username and password
4. Select the Rank (society) for the new user
5. Select the Generic User profile from the top of the window and Load
6. Click on the Add to add the user. They will now be able to log in.

To transfer a member to a different society

1. Select the user from the list.
2. Change their rank to reflect your own society
3. Update their channel access and default channel.

To remove the user

1. Open the User Editor
2. Select the user from the list.
3. Delete the user.

They will still be able to join the server but only as a guest. Should they rejoin the nation or another society they can re-register their account. Removing accounts like this rather than restricting their access helps to keep the user list trim and encourages National loyalty.
